Flexible workplace
We have offices located in College Park, Maryland; Bothell, Washington; Toronto, Canada; and Basel, Switzerland. While many employees work from an IonQ office multiple days per week, many are remote across 30+ US states.
Employees are provided with flexibility regarding how often they work from an office, depending on the type of work being performed.

Interview tips:
- Review our company, business, and recent news to gain confidence in our products and confirm you're excited about joining us! We don't need you to be an expert; however, we want you to be prepared if someone asks why you're excited about our technology.
- Know our company values. Our interview process focuses on these key aspects of our culture and your experience.
- For some of our openings, you may be asked to write code, share a creative portfolio, or provide other examples of your work. Ask your recruiter what specifically will be involved.
- Our interviews are virtual over Zoom. Test Zoom before your interview to ensure it works for your computer setup.
- Interviews will combine technical, behavioral, and situational questions. There will also be time for questions regarding the job, the team, and IonQ. We want you to ensure it’s a fit for you, too!
- We recommend you use the STAR model when answering questions. This will help you clarify and structure your responses (Situation, Task, Action, Result). Also, use unique examples with each interviewer to demonstrate your breadth of experience.
- Technical Screen Tips: Be yourself! We want to get to know the authentic you! We know interviews can be nerve-wracking, but we will do our best to make you feel comfortable. Please let us know ahead of time if you need any accommodations.
